The difference is that the physical therapist works on you FIRST to loosen your muscles so you CAN do your therapy without pain. I have always had the therapist do this AFTER I did my therapy when I was hurting. The staff are super friendly while being professional. In my initial session with therapist Jeff, he provided incredibly encouraging assurance that he would help me reach 100% despite my long-standing battle with pain, due to spina bifida and a neck injury back in February 2023.
After struggling to continue to improve with previous therapists who offered limited hope, I gave up on PT. My pain management doctor insisted I return.
Struggling on if I was going to make the right choice, I ultimately selected Comprehensive Physical Therapy. CPT had diverse treatment options and flexible scheduling. Unlike previous experiences, their personalized treatment plans adapt based on progress, providing the tailored care I needed to keep me from plateauing. I found Comprehensive Physical Therapy to be just what I needed.
Jeff's attentive listening and expertise, has led to targeted interventions significantly alleviating pain in multiple areas, including my hips, jaw, back, shoulders, and neck. Jeff has gone above and beyond to treat pain concerns, that I have learned to live with, because other medical professionals wouldn’t even address them. It has been very easy to schedule my appointments around my work schedule and I have noticed a big improvement in my knees with being able to tolerate my previous level of activity without pain.

"Comprehensive Physical Therapy has been a great partner through my journey of rehab. In March 2023 I tried to move a piece of equipment that was much too heavy for one person. This resulted in multiple injuries to both shoulders and my neck. For six months I tried to rest thinking that would resolve the problems. In August 2023 I saw a neurosurgeon. The MRI revealed I needed Disc replacement at 4-5, 6-7. After the neck surgery I continue to have pains In my right arm. The neurosurgeon said to give it time to heal. In May 2024 my wife suggested I see Anthony Bui with Comprehensive Physical Therapy. After my first visit I knew I was finally moving forward With recovery. Through Anthony's guidance and evaluation he believe I should see Orthopedic surgeon. On June 25, 2024 I underwent rotator cuff, Bicep tendon repair. Six weeks after the surgery I was back at Comprehensive Physical Therapy with Anthony to begin my rehab from shoulder surgery. Today is September 29, three months postop. I am finally sleeping at night with very little pain In my right arm. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!

"The best physical therapy clinic I’ve been to!! and I’ve been to plenty due to back pain since being diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 12. I was able to sleep without back pain for the first time in over 5 years thanks to my physical therapist here (I had Dr.Anthony Bui) . I’ve never had a hands on therapist so that experience itself was well worth the 5 stars. Usually my pt focuses on core movements that only leave me sore, but here they took the time to explain everything in detail (why the pain was happening and where it was prominent) and the exercises I was given were very helpful without being hard or draining. They were very respectful and friendly which made it more like a fun activity for me. Overall, I felt like they really paid attention to what I needed help with even without me having to directly explain it. I can’t recommend this place enough!"

"I began physical therapy with Anthony on 08/29/2024. I have bulging discs and my injury occurred 12 years ago. My pain is manageable, but my quality of life was very disappointing. I still have difficulty with basic things like kneeling, walking up and down stairs, walking longer distances, and sitting for long periods. I hoped therapy would strengthen muscles and help me do these things. In just 3 weeks, I found I was walking up and down stairs easier and my range of motion has increased. I am more hopeful of reaching my goal than I have been since my injury. Anthony is very patient and attentive. He helps me understand my injury better and explains the reasons he chose each exercise. I also do my therapy at home and he sent the exercises to my phone to make it easier to remember. The facility is very clean and the staff is also friendly. "I highly recommend going to Comprehensive Physical Therapy to help alleviate any pain that you’re experiencing. I have played soccer for 11 years and have been dealing with extreme pain in my chins and calves for years and just learned to try and live with it because I didn’t think it would ever go away. Even after trying things to help alleviate the pain and get rid of it, I was still in immense pain. After a while, I started to experience heel pain and it kept getting worse as the days went on to the point where I couldn’t walk without limping. I’m always on my feet and am a very active college student with 2 part time jobs. I finally opened up about my pain and received PT help from Comprehensive Physical Therapy. I had a terrible needle phobia, but one of the Physical Therapists, Jeff, really helped me overcome that fear and realize that feeling no more pain was worth getting needled. After just a few weeks of being treated and needled, I’ve been completely pain free while walking now. I wish I would’ve given into the help a long time ago if I knew it would have gotten rid of my pain completely. "We are so excited CPT opened a second location in Metairie. My 8 year old Jackson broke his foot and after it being released from his boot he still had intense foot pain and was limping. "I have to give a HUGE shout out to my Physical Therapist Billy Boudreaux with Comprehensive PT (in Mandeville near Franco’s). My son, age 12 started having heel pain and Achilles tendonitis and after 2-3 weeks of icing and stretching with no improvement and worsening symptoms, we went to Avala ortho walk in clinic to have an X-ray (which was read to be normal). I told the doctor my husband felt strongly there was something wrong, so the Ortho doc ordered an MRI. (Ortho doc on website also says he is a HAND specialist 🙄). A few weeks and a few hundred dollars later with insurance approval an MRI was done. My husband takes him to the follow up appt and the Avala Ortho doc says, “normal MRI” and we can boot him to make him rest or keep giving him pain management with Motrin like we have been doing. I started my son in PT to try and get him better since all was “normal”. Our PT, Billy, noticing my son was in a good amount of pain at certain points on his leg, asked to me to give him the CD to look at the images himself and took time to go over them. The very next day he text me a picture of what he suspected to be a fibula stress fracture! I contacted a different ortho (this time, specific to pediatrics) Dr Mcdaniel, to confirm what my PT suspected and she also suspected a stress fracture as well! After seeing Dr McDaniel on Tuesday, my son is now in a boot for 4 weeks minimum, all because our PHYSICAL THERAPIST took the time to CARE for his patient. Great providers seem harder and harder to come by. Please consider using Billy for any PT needs. You won’t regret it. I use him for recurrent neck “cricks” likely due to my posture and needing a new pillow. He’s told me he can even address TMJ pain! I think he can do anything."

I drive 90 miles each way to receive excellent care from this facility. After going to other physical therapist offices and interviewing quite a few others, I'm happy I found them. Their front office people are amazing and very friendly. They are personable and easy to work with when scheduling appointments and answering questions. I had a lot of them at the beginning b/c I knew what I liked and did not like about my previous experience with another practice. I work with Billy twice a week and Jeff once a week. Both are thorough, knowledgeable, and take time to understand the full picture of my symptoms and how they change day to day. Adam (Physical Therapist Assistant) works with me before I see the Physical Therapist on my exercises and is also very knowledgeable. He asked questions, in which I was able to answer, but at some point I could not describe the condition any more. Billy was able to describe my pain and lack of mobility perfectly. "I have been to Superior Rehabilitation, now Comprehensive Physical Therapy, located on Veterans Blvd in Metairie LA for rehab needs over the past 12 years. The staff are all very knowledgeable and professional. Following my back fusion surgery in April of 2022, I went to therapy two to three times a week for six months. This time, I go twice a week for treatment of neck and shoulder pain. The staff is very thorough during the initial assessment and while guiding me through the prescribed care plan. I'm so grateful for the progress I made white working with Anthony, Alexa and Jonathan. The techs are also warm and friendly, but they make sure you implement the exercises correctly to ensure the most success during treatment. "I’ve been seeing Dr. Billy and Wes for several weeks and it has been life-changing. When I was first evaluated, I was in so much pain I couldn’t stand or sit unsupported for more than a few minutes without being in agony. I was diagnosed with an injury to my neck and through both treatment and counseling as to how to manage my condition/pain at home, I am back to probably 80% function with no other interventions. I was able to stop all pain meds and resume most of my daily activities consisting of housework and caring for my toddler. "I've never had any type of physical therapy so I was nervous for my first appointment. I had no idea what to expect but staff put me at ease before my evaluation. We discussed where I was feeling pain; how long; any specific times that it occurred, etc. and a plan of action was developed almost immediately. Pains in the backside are very real and I've learned the name of the muscle is the piriformis. Mine seemed to be as hard as a rock (just on one side). We tailored a plan and I've invested in my own bands and ankle weights so I can continue once we reached maximum recovery. I feel so blessed to have been recommended to CPT AND as afraid as I was of something called "dry needling", I gave them to go ahead and I began to have relief much quicker. I actually began to look forward to the needling. Trust these folks!! Very clean and responsible -- personable!"

"I've lived with an RRMS diagnosis for 32 years. MS changes with age. I started suffering this summer with severe muscle cramping confined to my legs...I had trouble sleeping, walking, doing ANYTHING. Regular stresses of life like a hurricane and househunting was aggravating my whole nervous system too.

"I was having problems sleeping at night and sitting down because of the pain in my lower back and leg. Driving was also an issue. Rather than go see a doctor I called Robyn at Superior Rehab. After being evaluated , Robyn put me on a plan to healing. What I thought at first might be surgery, Superior was able to take care of with therapy. Best decision I ever made. "All staff members give you individual attention. This is not true of all rehabilitation centers. I feel they actually care about how my physical disability is affecting me mentally. The PT techs watch and correct all movements. You know they are there supporting you. I love the hand on approach. This is the first time I actually had a PT work individually with me at every visit. I feel and see an improvement. I would refer anyone who need PT after any injury or surgery. I have been telling everyone about this hands on approach and how it has helped me. I now have a new attitude and feel like I can reach my goal to enjoy everyday activities"

"I have been to Superior twice, during my second injury they told me I had to go to rehab, and when they said superior, I was very excited. This place is full of healing, laughter, and plenty of LOVE. I went in due to a sprain ACL, tht caused me tp be limited tp certain things. For weeks I could not work, squat, bend, or stand for a long period of time. Superior worked out my problem within the first two weeks of my session. My injury had improved in no time, within the first two weeks of my therapy session, my leg started to improve. I enjoyed being at this place because of the love and support these guys give, especially Mrs. Robin and Donna B, not only did they help me physically but they also helped me with a personal problem. They are not just concerned about you getting healed physically but they are there for you no matter what your problem is. This is a place where you can go for one problem and everyone assist you and make you comfortable. "In such a short period of time, Billy my P.T. has worked wonders...seriously wonders! I have been suffering with shoulder pain since February of this year, and in 3 short visits I have gained movement and remained pain free for days. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable with your assigned exercise routine and makes sure you do them correctly and without strain. "I have just completed my third rehabilitation with Superior Rehab. The first was a couple years ago and the management & employees were outstanding. At every level the excessives were specifically tailored to the rotator cuff surgery. The plan the put in place was designed for maximum effect.
As we got to know each other the routine were designed to challenge me and I had the option to challenge myself.
My second and third rehabilitation was for a complete double hip replacement. Just prior to the surgery I stopped by to let them know I was coming back to superior for both my rehabilitation. It was not like visiting a business but like visiting friends and neighbors.
When I was released to do rehabilitation I challenged Billy, Billy challenged me and I challanged myself. He wanted 3 sets of 10 I did three sets of 13. It was hard, it was painfull and everyone even fellow customers kept an eye on me, and it worked. I completed the 24 sessions and regained the full and complete recovery. On the second to last session I mentioned to an intern that I would have liked to have seen my progress through they’re eyes.
The second surgery was very different from the first and completed my recovery in just under the 12 visits. Again I challenged Billy he challenged me and I challenged my self.
I have been discharged and doing great. The hard work is as propelled by me determination that this was the foundation for the rest of my life.
As often as I can I will enthusiastically recommend Superior to anyone I meet."

"Great experience...the therapy not the surgery! I had a total right hip replacement and required therapy after surgery. My wife had received therapy at Superior and was very satisfied with the results. As expected the knowledge and quality of care were there but what made Superior exceptional were the intangibles. When I walked in the first person I see is Jose who had been involved in previous therapy at another clinic and I knew I was in great hands. Next I had the pleasure to deal with Donna M. who made the business side seamless. I had zero problems with insurance, scheduling etc. to go along with a smiling happy attitude. My visits also included assistance and guidance from Brandon, who keeps the place lively and entertaining, and Jess and Kelsey who gave encouragement and made sure I did things correctly. I received some “dry needling” from Billy which aided my recovery. Last but certainly not least were my sessions with Donna B and Robin. The treatment plan and their expert care fit my expectations and allowed me to begin normal life including golf earlier than expected. But best of all was probably the “psychiatric care” (ha ha) I received from them. Again the “intangibles”. I was so pleased with my experience that I have joined the wellness program that is tailored to my wants and needs."

"I was given Superior Rehabilitation, and Billy Beaudreau’s name as a competent Physical therapist, from my home health therapist. Billy gave me a comprehensive assessment for post-op total knee replacement, following up with low back treatments. The focused manual therapy combined with specific exercises retrained and strengthened my new knee, resulting in full range of motion and strength. I truly didn’t expect such a result! I’ve had a lot of physical therapy over the years having had several surgeries, but this is the best I’ve experienced. It isn’t just the expertise which Billy and his staff use , it is the honest concern and patience they gave me as well. Billy took time to listen to me and go over test results and/or doctor’s recommendations. If necessary he coordinated treatments for extra benefits for me. Each staff member was so helpful and knowledgeable. I am grateful for Superior Rehabilitation and the great outcome I received with my physical therapy. I have had back pain and headaches for as long as I can remember. I’ve been back and forth to chiropractors for years. I would always feel better for a brief period, but soon I’d be calling for another appointment. It felt like a revolving door. Finally my husband asked me why I hadn’t tried physical therapy. "After having a full knee replacement and completing home rehab, my doctor ordered outpatient physical therapy as part of my treatment plan. My daughter (who has a plethora of experience, herself, with physical therapy), spent time researching, visiting and interviewing many options in Metairie. She narrowed the list down to Superior. I had never experienced physical therapy and had never even been to a gym. At Superior someone was always there to oversee that the therapy was done correctly. "I started out at Superior due to an auto collision. After the incident I had a lot of pain in my upper back and left shoulder. It was taxing to shower, sleep, and especially work. Both Billy and Donna worked with me to get me back to my old self again. Between the dedication and care that I received from everyone there I was able to get into a routine that led to a speedy recovery. In only 8 weeks of physical therapy I was able to make a full recovery. I appreciate all of the care and patience that the staff provided. I wouldn't have been able to do it without them and their warm hearts.
TL:DR They're amazing! If I'm ever injured again I'll be sure to make an appointment with them instead of my doctor this time."
